In 2012, St. Bernardus launched the Tokyo beer. This âone offâ brew was made for the opening of the first St. Bernardus themed bar in the Japanese capital Tokyo.
For this edition we chose to do a new version of the Tokyo brew, but we wouldnât be St. Bernardus if we wouldnât try to innovate it someway… Therefore the artwork of the can is made by the Belgian artist Jonas Devacht. Itâs an impression of the Japanese nightlife, of the iconic KabukichĹ streets.

The brewmaster’s favorite! According to the motto: “Learn the rules, then break them”, we have taken on this classic style and BRLO-fied it: our unfiltered IPA comes with three German hop varieties and warm, caramel toffee notes. A successful blend of tradition and reinterpretation.
