The Flanders region of Northern France, located just south of the Belgian border
is the point for the most colorful offerings of French beers. Brasserie Grain d'Orge
is an artisanal, family owned brewery established in 1898. The location of the brewery
was originally chosen for the artesian well, which supplies pure water for brewing today.
In 2003, the Grain d'Orge brewery produced 200,000 hectoliters. Their products are
distributed throughout France and exported to Belgium, England, Italy, Spain, Canada
and Japan.
